The students here at Jeløy tell us that the school has a very sociable and inclusive environment. This is something we are pleased to hear. We believe that this provides a great basis for a year that you can spend doing things you enjoy, without the distractions of exams. We provide a year where you will learn a lot, where you will grow to understand yourself more and quite possibly discover more about what you want to spend your future doing.

Jeløy is diverse. There is a rich diversity in the subject options availability. The activities that the school provides are also diverse. Such things combine to provide a school environment which helps the students to develop.

The school is owned by The Salvation Army, which contributes to the diversity of the school profile. This in turn opens up opportunities for the students, such as sports events, practice institutions as well as both exotic and unusual places to visit. The Salvation Army is at work in 117 countries around the world. The very fact that the school is owned by The Salvation Army also affects the schools own set of values.

Jeløy offers both a sea-view and lovely surroundings whilst being situated just a short distance from local shops and other facilities. There are great possibilities for cultural experiences and shopping close at hand, whilst Oslo (45 mins) and Sweden (40 mins) are not far away. The popular kebabs served at Campino also offer a great option for a pleasnt evening. The school is just a 10 minute drive from the Moss Airport situated in Rygge. Why not take a gap year from the normal sequence of studying. The school staff promise to do their best to help you enjoy a year with a difference.
